Moving Your AOL Address Book

If you have two or more computers, that you want to use for AOL, it is possible to move your address book and settings from one computer to another. This means that you can take all your addresses and AOL settings with you when you travel to your summer home. Note: The two computers must have the same version of AOL.

Your address book and other files which define you to AOL sit in the directory

C:\Program Files\America On Line 6.0\Organize

where 6.0 is the version of AOL and could be 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, or 8.0

AOL version 9.0 stores a copy of your address book on their computer and makes it available when you log on.  AOL 9.0 requres Windows XP .

AOL 7.0 and 8.0 gives you multiple screen names. This means that you can use one account for several people. The only limitation is that only one of you can be connected to AOL at any given time.
